Today I found out I am graduating from Texas A&M on May 12 at 9:00am, YEAH! This semester I am required to work a sixteen week internship. This was an opportunity to request an agency where I can be offered a job, at a descent pay. That’s why I have been going to school……right? I had no peace. I know being a wife and a mother is my number one priority, but my husband is seeking my help financially. One Sunday night Allen Palermo enlightened me with words that set me free.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24
There are so many offensive ways within me. I thank the Lord for helping me to realize them and turn away. This verse led me to Hope Pregnancy Center. I have been here for 4 weeks and counting. I could not ask for a more family friendly environment. The Lord told me to seek Him, so I am using this time to serve him and pray about what will happen next. I have absolutely no chance of being offered a job here, but this is where God wants me and I am so thankful. Next week I am going through the training to become a counselor. I can’t wait to love on these women. I know what it is like to not care for yourself. I know how it feels to be empty and seek love from others instead of God. I know that He can change lives.
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10
You are so seeking his kingdom and his righteouness… the word says it again and again seek Him, seek Me and you will find Him. I know you will be such a blessing to the women that come through the HOPE! Your post warms my heart.
